A dancer. A bodybuilder. Endurance. Durability. MAXIMUM is a duet between a dancer and a bodybuilder. Two highly trained performers execute demanding acts of intense physical duration, inviting the audience on a sensorial ride of sustained endurance.
As they push their bodies beyond exhaustion, the performers’ actions begin to reveal something more human. Every minuscule action becomes heightened, with a focus on repetition and unison. Under sweltering lights and with a live sound score, awkward images and manoeuvres emerge as they work together to find a physical dialogue.
MAXIMUM takes a sharp look at demanding physical acts, side-by-side, to reveal two seemingly disparate forms united through live performance.
