A timely collection of writings and reflections on art, disaster and communities.
Refuge Publication Project was commissioned by City of Melbourne through Arts House in partnership with the Research Unit of Public Cultures, Melbourne University with the generous support of Emergency Management Victoria.
In the Time of Refuge offers readers an expanded understanding of this six-year project led by Arts House in partnership with Emergency Management Victoria, State Emergency Services, Australian Red Cross and the University of Melbourne. Featuring contributions from artists, Elders, producers, collaborators and witnesses who held, nurtured and steered Refuge from 2016-2021.
