Housewarming: North Melbourne Constellation
Robin Fox
Drench yourself in the audio-visual flow of Robin Fox’s latest extravaganza and see the Main Hall as you’ve never experienced it before.
North Melbourne Constellation is presented by Arts House as part of Housewarming.
Australia’s laureate of lasers Robin Fox returns to Arts House with a new project of transformation. Featuring a multitude of crystal balls that refract light on impact, this is the cascade of visual and aural sensation that Melbourne needs after sitting at home for a year.
North Melbourne Constellation is the latest in Fox’s Constellation series, which began in the small Victorian township of Girgarre before its second iteration in Launceston’s Albert Hall for Mona Foma 2018. For this third incarnation the artist has pushed the immersion to even greater heights, inspired by the night skies to produce a new constellation here on Earth.
“Few artists have such a unique take on laser technology as Robin Fox.” – The Quietus
