Take part in this one-off small group workshop and learn basic skills in body casting. In the process you’ll explore issues around bodies, gender and expressions of identities.
Participants will be introduced to materials and processes involved in the production of body casts, sculpting and modifying objects, and will create unique and personal items to affirm their relationship to their bodies.
Together with workshop leader Lou Fourie, participants will share ideas and personal experiences of their bodies in a safe and small group environment, building on these ideas to create works of art as unique as each of us.
This is a workshop for all people. If you’d like to do the workshop for trans, gender diverse and intersex only, see the Midsumma website
This event is part of BODY, a new major project from Arts House in partnership with Midsumma Festival amplifying the voices of trans, gender diverse and intersex peoples.
